MySpace recently transformed the way that users can customize their profiles by adding a completely new system that lets people edit almost anything and it finally gives people the power and flexibility to create their own custom MySpace 2.0 layouts.
This means that you don't have to learn how to code, and most importantly, you can edit your layout without having to cut and paste a single thing! The drag and drop interface that's been designed by the guys at MySpace makes everything so much easier, and anyone can do it. Thanks to the latest changes, now you can design you can even design your own layout without having to touch any complicated DIV layouts or CSS source code.
The new MySpace layout system lets you add and remove modules, change colors, backgrounds and even more. It really has made things a ton easier and finally, you can choose between tons of themes.
We took a quick look at MySpace 2.0 layouts and we were certainly impressed. We have already started designing MySpace 2.0 themes for you guys, so you can start using them straight away. After spending a bit of time playing around with the new features, we thought they were great. The only drawback we noticed is that the new interface can be a little bit slow on slower computers. All things aside, it still works really well, and it finally gives you the tools to create the ultimate MySpace profile that you've always dreamed of.
It's good news for users, and it's also great news for skinners and modders as it's even easier for MySpace users to add in custom themes. There is already a whole load available, and people are hard at work converting the old themes into the format.
What we liked most of all about the site is that instead of having to edit individual profile boxes and add custom code hoping that you've done everything correctly and that it's all OK, all you need to do now is to copy third-party themes into the CSS style box. It really is that simple!
For simple changes, like custom backgrounds and colors, MySpace 2.0 does everything you'd ever need and more. It takes a little bit of getting used to at first, try it out and we guarantee you won't go back to your old profile.
However, there is some slightly bad news. Converting your favorite version 1.0 profile into the new format may involve a bit of clicking, as this new way of customization really does transform everything. It's a push in the right direction, but at the time of review, we did have a little bit of trouble converting our theme.
However, it's not all bad. We have tons of MySpace 2.0 layouts if you're looking for a cool new way to liven up your profile and give it a new look. The fact is that you can now add/remove 'boxes' or modules without having to use a custom MySpace DIV overlay. You can edit content directly on your profile too, so that you can see exactly what's happening, all of the time.
